Sergeant Marcella Chism , served in the U.S. Air Force for four years as a Weather Observation Specialist during the Desert Storm era.
While stationed at Loring AFB, in Maine, she graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. In 1994, she moved to Tucson, Arizona and began her career as an Accountant for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons. In 2001, she was promoted to Regional Accountant and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She retired and has over 25 years’ experience in accounting and finance. In addition to her government experience, she has worked as a Treasurer and Junior Accountant for nonprofit organizations. She also worked for six years as a seasonal Income Tax Advisor.
She has one son Corey, and enjoys cooking, listening to music, singing, sewing, playing the guitar, and crocheting.
She joined American Veterans Post 9-1-1, in November 2017, to assist in helping other veterans and giving back to the community.
