Specialist Vanessa Bass, after graduating in June 1984, she entered the U.S. Army in August 1984, serving until 1991. During her military career, she worked as a Finance Specialist from 1984 to 1988 and later as a Food Service Specialist from 1988 to 1991. Following her service, she completed Master Cosmetologist School and went on to own and operate a salon before continuing her career in the cosmetology field in both private salons and the VA healthcare system.
She remains active in veteran service, serving as Public Relations Officer for AMVETS Post 9-1-1 since 2024.
